Mewe is a an arts collective comprising of visual artists, academics, writers, performers, poets and film makers who share an interest in and create work about the maternal.
Mewe was established in 2012 by Helen Sargeant and Mo Brown. Mewe meets regularly to discuss the maternal. Its work promotes, supports and disseminates the work of the collective and individual practice ‘s of its members in a “caring, collaborative” non-hierarchical structure.
