I offer a variety of one to one tuition services tailored to meet your individual needs. I can work with you over one or more sessions. I offer an introductory one hour planning and consultation service in order to discuss your needs and work towards establishing and understanding your individual requirements so that we can best work together.
I have over twenty years experience of working as a professional artist which includes the teaching of fine art in both Further and Higher Education. I have also delivered workshops and participatory arts projects within the community and run short courses and day workshops for adult learners.

- Help you to plan and structure a new project

- Suggest new methods and materials to help you to develop your practice.
- Think about how best to present your work and offer creative affordable solutions.
- I can work with you to write contextual statements about your practice.
- Look at developing your drawing skills whether that be observational or experimental.
- Help you develop your practice in relation to drawing, painting, textiles,performance, time based media or writing.
- I can assist you with contextualising your work within contemporary arts practice and help to point you towards artists, exhibitions, books, galleries and organisations that would be of help to you and your practice.
- Build a portfolio for application to further or higher education.
Studio tutorials take place on-line via ZOOM. In person studio tutorials can be arranged where you can attend Helens Studio. Helen can also travel to see you at your studio but this does involve extra costs to cover her time and travel.
Sliding scale of fees:
Low income household: £40 per hour
Middle income household: £50 per hour
High income household: £60 per hour
