Day three: Studio / Tampere Art Museum
The yellow buttermilk house cuddles me with wooden warmth. Upstairs the children’s feet dance on the floorboards.

Its getting later and later and Naoise has got a second wind and is playing with the wooden train set in the studio. He slept in until 11am this morning and now I am paying for it as he shows absolutely no signs of sleepiness, where as I could collapse.
So I find myself in the kitchen writing this.
I have brain ache as I cannot think to write a thing.
We went on our first day trip into town to Tampere Art Museum where Moominvalley is located. A beautiful museum bursting with Tove Jansson’s original illustrations and lovely three dimensional models of scenes from the moomin books. It was a lucky day to choose to visit the museum as it was a family day so we got in for free and therefore saved 15 Euros.
Naoise is bored of playing train tracks so it is reading time……no its shower time…no its super time….no its Charlie and the Chocolate time. Oh me of my I am so tired my parenting is rubbish….

Butter yellow is such a comforting colour for me ! I have happy memories of it in a room I painted long ago.
Tove…she was depressed by the war so wrote something naive and innocent…with the ugliest creature imaginable drawn from her anger. Something of herself and others in them. ……y probably know all the – Her family were tolerant bohemian artists and nature lovers who brought up very creative children….um
does that remained you of anyone?
Not A disabled pregnant woman with a broken leg but more like
a powerful and free air born goose woman producing the universe in a primordial world egg (was believed by the Egyptians about Ra the Sun God). In Tarot The Empress
The great cow then who births the sun, mother goose personifying the abundance and sensuality and unity of life in us all
Hatching pleasure
Hatching humour
hatching exuberance
I hear your pain! Keep manifesting your dreams warrior friend!
Ohhhh Thanks Mo. Oh gosh the pregnant woman and broken leg sign was from a bus on the ride into Tampere to see the Moomin Valley museum. I originally had the main image of the text about HOME . I think I will change it to the text again. I love Tove and it wasnt my intention to portray her in a negative light. I just liked the bus graphics ! MMMmmm need to be more careful about the visuals that I use. Thank you warrior friend for your thoughtful words.
