Playing with embedding my children’s drawings into my own, thinking about the body of the mother and the child, gender, sexuality, nurture and protection. Toying with subverting idealised images of motherhood. Thinking about the vulnerability of the mother and the child and transmutation of these feelings through the delicacy of line.
